All of our classes that are open for registration can be found here: https://trianglerunsmart.com/training-classes  New season classes are typically added here and opened for registration around 3 months ahead of time.


New classes are added to our website, posted on social media (Facebook and Instagram), and sent out in our monthly newsletter.  You can sign up for our newsletter on our homepage: https://trianglerunsmart.com/.  Social media links are below.  We also include upcoming dates for classes opening on our Events page: https://trianglerunsmart.com/events-1


RunSignUp requires a mailable address, so for a couple of our park locations, we're unable to use the park address and instead include our business partner's address in Holly Springs.  The class location is correctly listed on the registration information page.


We do not have complete beginner classes for adults, though some beginners have been able to adjust their personal training progression within our classes to make it work for them.  The most beginner friendly adult class we have is: Adult Run + Strength training (held year-round in Cary on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30am).


Looking ahead to a future marathon training class? Set yourself up for success and less injuries by building a base of 15-20 miles per week (easy pace) for several weeks prior to the class starting. That'll help lay the groundwork to build up more distance & intensity throughout the season.


Have good intentions, but come into a marathon training class not as well prepared? Adjust your plans! Push out your marathon (if possible) and use the class for accountability and to build your base. Decrease the length of your runs on the weekends until you can more gradually build up. You can always adjust your own run workout (intensity & distance) and still be with the group.

For our adult classes, a full season training plan is provided up front and each week the coach sends out a detailed email further explaining the class workouts.  This information can easily be used to run on your own and stay updated with the class.


Triangle Run Smart does NOT offer private run coaching.  However, a few of our coaches do offer private run coaching separate from TRS.  You can email requests to: coachkelly@trianglerunsmart.com to coordinate with a coach.


We occasionally will grant age exceptions to youth classes if the child's running ability and maturity make it a safe decision, but the age ranges are created for a reason to best match up with others in the class and meet the expectations and challenge of that class type.  If you feel that your child can safely and appropriately meet a class's expectations though their age doesn't fit in the range, please email: coachkelly@trianglerunsmart.com to make your request.


We will create waitlists for our youth classes and can offer a spot if someone drops out at the last minute.  We cannot increase the class sizes, though.  To get on a class waitlist, please email: coachkelly@trianglerunsmart.com.


We're sorry, but we are unable to give class refunds or class switches.  Please do not register for a class if your schedule is uncertain and there's a potential conflict that may arise late.  Consider registering for a later season where you do not have that conflict.
